This trip was made famous in 2015 when 200 riders attempted to cross across Australia on a course that was designed to be the ultimate challenge. The adventure starts with getting your bike freighted to Perth. You then fly in and start riding north of Perth up to Steep Point which is the most Western Point of Australia. The dunes next to the beach were the first test for many. There is an easy way around all the hardest sections. The ride then heads east through the desert on a famous track called the Gunbarrel which is an epic 500 km section of track. Riders then head towards Uluru where they stay a night and then head to Alice Springs to watch the prologue of the FINKE desert race. The riders then can take on the famous Simpson desert, or ride around it. Once this section is completed they ride through cattle properties and forest till they reach Byron Bay. Most riders will complete the ride in 12 days but the support team are out there for 14 days. This event is incredible to watch because all riders are required to carry a tracking device so people all around the world can watch their progress compared to the other riders. Riders can either use this website to fill out their entry form and pay by credit card or download the entry form and pay by EFT or cheque.
